Not long ago333x500

I received an unsolicited email a few weeks ago from Ola Adamska, a young college student. She expressed an interest in reading and reviewing Not Long Ago, the first book in my Time Travel series. I’m always delighted to find someone who has discovered my books and is interested in reading them. Especially someone who fits into my demographics. But it’s especially nice to learn I have a new fan from Warsaw, Poland. Long story short, she read it. She liked it. Afterwards she posted the following review on Goodreads and told me I had a new fan!

i recived this book for free in exchange for honest review. the begining is so misterious, that it make reader to think: omg why? I want to know more 😉 in this book we have a lot of action and plot twists. There are happy and sad moments to share with characters. I Was afraid to find Erin little and well not being able to deal with it on her own. but she Was great!! and time thing was very sirprising to me. you will find more when you read 😉 I recommend book especially to wemen wto like romances in medieval 😉 and when femele character isn’t helpless 😉 very good pice of work 😉

What a great way to start my Tuesday.

Tell Me A Secret

TELL ME A SECRET – by Ann Everett

A lot of us have something in common with Maggie Fielding. It’s called insecurity. She’s smart and beautiful, but she lacks confidence in herself. Even though she knows handsome Jace Sloan isn’t her type any more than she’s his, she falls for him. And he falls for her. Hard enough to start thinking about his future. Just about the time you think Jace and Maggie will live happily ever after, there’s trouble in paradise. But Maggie has things under control. Or does she? I always enjoy Ann Everett’s sharp wit and fast-paced stories that keep you turning the page.

(BTW I LOVE this cover, don’t you?)

On Sunday, December 14th, Robbi Perna and I are doing a blog swap. You’ll be able to read all about this fascinating lady. In the meantime, I thought you’d like a preview of what’s to come.

I just finished reading her latest book, The Roman Phalera. It’s my first book by this author, but it won’t be the last. She begins the story by describing a family vineyard in California through the eyes of Carlo Cavaleri, one of the owners’ sons. I immediately found myself in the story—seeing, hearing, smelling, everything Ms. Perna pointed out.

It explores the bond that exists between brothers whose connection is even stronger than usual, because they are twins. It was very touching to see it unfold. The brothers share a sixth sense about each other which causes Carlo’s near death when his brother, Paolo meets an untimely end. In the following weeks, Carlo is lost and does not want to go on living without his brother, when a strange dream and a trip to Rome begin to bring things into perspective.

While I’m not usually a fan of contemporary books, I found this one to be a unique blend of history, romance and the paranormal, and the unexpected surprise at the end put a neat twist on the story.
